Nice review in Baby Sue

February 2nd, 2010 | By

A nice review was published yesterday on Baby Sue, also some big news coming soon about a super TV placement…

“There’s an interesting social phenomenon happening in music lately. While the world of hugely popular artists has never been more horrific and awful…there seems to be a wealth of cool and credible artists getting their feet in the door by having their music featured in commercials and televisions shows. We were blown away late last year by Britain’s Patrick & Eugene (whose music can be heard on several big-time television commercials)…and now the folks in Car Stereo Wars have the same effect on us…despite the fact that their music is being used for blatantly commercial purposes (!). Just goes to show that when the quality’s there…nothing else really matters. Many folks would probably lump the songs on For Your Comfort and Safety into that all-too-familiar dream pop genre…but in our minds these folks are simply creating smart, gliding, progressive pop with cerebral qualities. Eleven beautiful cuts here including “Smooth,” “Radio Edit,” “November,” and “For Your Comfort and Safety.” This album should instantly appeal to fans of Ivy.”

new website

csw-oldwebsite
car stereo wars has retired the old website and replaced it with a shiny, bright, wordpress powered website, the old site has served us well but this one will allow us to update posts more often and allow more interaction with the users via commenting.

We’ll try and keep the new site update with more stories than the old one. The old site was hard to update but this one is much easier!

tic-tac chill tv commercial

November 15th, 2009 | By

“Come to Nothing” by car stereo wars has been featured on the tic-tac chill tv commercial for a year now and the great news is it will be on for another year. We’ve been lucky enough to gain a lot of exposure from the tic tac commercial, so another year of exposure is great news for us.

A lot of people have been asking who the song is by, hopefully you will find this page now which has more reference to the ad than the old website.
